A full commercial renovation of the indoor pool and spa at The Inn at Christmas Place, including the move most builders will not attempt: we raised the entire pool about three inches to correct the deck drainage, then rebuilt it in travertine, tile, and pebble from the drains up.

The Challenge
The indoor pool deck did not drain. Water pooled around the pool instead of running off it, the concrete was failing, the plumbing leaked, and the finishes were dated, a rough spot in the middle of a resort built on first impressions.
What We Did
We took the pool area down to the bones and fixed the root problem most crews would have plastered over. We physically raised the pool about three inches so the new deck could finally pitch water away from it, then rebuilt everything: drains, coping, waterline tile, a pebble interior, travertine decking with a burnt-clay border, new lighting, custom spa steps, plumbing repairs, and matching travertine through the bathrooms.
From Vision to Reality
Demo & Raise
We tore out all of the old concrete in the pool area, then raised the pool roughly three inches, the custom move that let the new deck finally pitch its drainage away from the water instead of toward it. New drains went in across the deck and the bathrooms.
Rebuild
New coping, new waterline tile, and a fresh pebble finish inside the pool and spa. We laid travertine decking with a burnt-clay border, fixed the plumbing leaks, and built custom steps into the spa.
Finish
New pool and spa lighting brought the room back to life, and we carried the same travertine into the bathrooms with new floor drains, so the whole space finally works as hard as it looks.
