The Travertine Revival
A previous pool company cheaped out on the hardscape and it showed. We ripped out the failing pavers and rebuilt the whole poolscape in travertine, turned an unusable upper deck into a flagstone and turf walkway the kids jump into the pool from, and added a turf side yard for the dog plus a putting green.

The Challenge
The pool was already in, but the previous pool company cheaped out on a low-end paver installer and the hardscape was failing. The upper deck across from the pool was unusable, and the yard was not doing anything for the family or the dog.
What We Did
We tore out the bad pavers and rebuilt the entire poolscape in travertine. We turned the dead upper deck into a flagstone walkway wrapped in turf, the kind of spot the kids run and jump into the pool from, then added a turf side yard for the dog and a putting green to finish it.
From Vision to Reality
Design
We planned a travertine layout to replace the failing pavers and reclaimed the unusable upper deck as a flagstone and turf walkway, with room worked in for a dog yard and a putting green.
Build
We demoed the previous installer’s pavers, laid travertine across the poolscape, set the flagstone walkway and wrapped it in turf, then installed the turf dog yard and the putting green.
